New York businesses formed this week, by county
The New York Department of State recorded 4,327 new domestic businesses across 61 counties between Oct 11, 2026 and Oct 16, 2026 — 3,345 LLCs, 960 corporations and 22 professional-service firms. County is the registered address of record, not the place of business.
Statewide snapshot
Oct 11–16, 2026
Of the 4,327 domestic businesses filed this cycle, 3,345 LLCs, 960 corporations and 22 professional-service firms. Every one is a brand-new legal entity that has not yet chosen an accountant, an insurer, a payroll service or a bank — which is exactly the window an agent or vendor wants to reach it in, before the incumbent relationships form.
One honesty note that governs every page here: the county is the county of the entity's registered address of record — the address of its process agent — not necessarily where it trades. Registered-agent services cluster in Albany, which inflates that county's count; read each list as "new businesses with a registered NY address in this county," never "operating here."
Below are the 21 counties with enough new activity this cycle to earn their own page — real content needs real volume, and a one-formation page would just be padding. The other 40 counties with activity are real too: their formations are in the paid export, not blown up into pages that can't support one.

Methodology
Sources, cadence, caveats
Source. One public dataset on data.ny.gov: the NY Department of State's
Active Corporations register (n9v6-gdp6), filtered to the five domestic
for-profit formation types — limited liability companies, business corporations, and the
professional-service and design-professional variants. Not-for-profits, out-of-state (foreign)
entities and partnerships are out of scope.
Cadence. The state refreshes the register daily and holds full history, so every page is rebuilt from a live query for the last seven days of filings. The window shown on every page is derived from the rows it actually displays, not from the query bounds.
What a row means — and the county caveat. A row is a new legal entity on the
state register, not proof of an operating storefront. The county field is the county
of the registered address of record (the process agent's address), not necessarily where
the business operates — verify any entity on its official DoS record, linked from every row.
Compliance. Public entity-record fields only — the business name, type, filing date, county, and the registered address city and ZIP. This product never carries the process agent's name or home street address, in the free pages and in the paid export alike; those details stay on the entity's official DoS record, where the state publishes them.
